The Studio of Love

A studio is a place for experiments — colorful, creative, sometimes impossible experiments. We bring our whole selves to the process. We share where we have been and a little of where we think we are going. We learn one another’s language, collaborate, talk about the big, important stuff like God and justice and prayer, and then go and experiment in the world.

In olden times a studio formed around a Master who knew what they were doing and taught their apprentices. The Master of our Studio of Love is Christ. He’s forever sharing stories, pointing the way and then telling us, “Go and do likewise.”

Lent 2024 - An Exploration of Lamentation and Celebration

The Queer Theology Project

In 2022 we explored together what we learn about God, ourselves, and one another by stepping outside of the hetero-normative box? We asked the experts, those who had to go there because of who they are. We discovered many things that are important for anyone evolving into the totality of their personhood. Unfortunately, in this political climate it is not safe to expose those we interviewed.

The safety of trans people is threatened by our current government, and that makes us all sad and very angry. We know in our guts that God finds God’s expression in all of us - straight, bi, gay, lesbian, queer, non-binary, trans, intersex, and many other expressions that may not even be named yet. We affirm that. Steadfastly. Even as we take the necessary steps to keep everyone safe. Please help keep everyone safe!
