Christian Formation for children and youth

-          begins each fall on the first Sunday in September, ending about the last Sunday of May. See the Vision newsletter for schedules for the following:

·         Children's Workshop (ages 6 and up) meets 9:00-9:45AM Sundays in the education building. This class covers a variety of topics, usually coinciding with the calendar of the church year. Kids will work on special projects like plays, art, gardening, games, and outreach projects.

·         Children's Chapel with Godly Play (ages 3-12) meets in the education building at 10:00AM. Children will join their families after the Prayers of the People. Children's Chapel is an abbreviated worship service specially tailored to the needs of children. The Godly Play program is imaginative and creative, engaging and nurturing children's natural spirituality. Click here to go to the Godly Play website.

·          Youth in grades 6-12 are invited to participate in Saint Paul’s Youth Group.   There is no charge for most events. We also encourage youth to bring a friend along! Parents are asked to provide transportation for their youth to most events. Events this past year include: visiting the Challenge Course (‘ropes course’) at CSU, exploring a corn maze, dressing up for a Halloween costume party, baking cookies (sold to raise money for animal rescue), volunteering at the Family Center’s Christmas party, tubing down a snowy hill at Beaver Meadows, and more!

Our Christian Formation program is staffed by Judy Matthews (Director of Children's Ministries), and a team of dedicated volunteer teachers and assistants. The program is flexible and suggestions (and volunteers) are always welcome! Several times during the year, Christian Formation is superseded by special programs such as the Parish breakfast, a performance by theatrical groups, inter-generational programs, and, of course, practice for the Christmas play.

St. Paul's Child Protection Policy is available online.
